<p>PURPOSE:To improve operability at the input of position information by providing integrally a position information pointing part which controls the movement of a cursor on the screen of a display with a keyboard and moving this keyboard over a plane. CONSTITUTION:When the information on characters, symbols, etc., are inputted via keys 7, an operator usually operates the keys with his/her wrists kept on the wrist rests 9. Then the wrists set on the rests 9 apply the light force to a keyboard device 5 in the case of inputting the position information. Thus the device 5 moves freely on a pad 11, and an optical reading mechanism 13 set on the rear side of the device 5 reads the grating of the pad 11 in response to the movement of the device 5. Then a cursor moves over the display screen of a display device 3. The moving cursor designates an optional position on the screen for supply of the position information after the movement of the device 5 is stopped. Thus it is possible to attain the input of the position information with high operability.</p> |
