PURPOSE:To promptly extend/density-convert code data by density-converting the code data, calculating the position of a change point after the density- conversion, and generating/outputting image data. CONSTITUTION:For example, when the density-conversion by means of 1/2 simple thinning is executed, in an MH system, a control part 3a calculates the change point position from a run length and the value of a counter 4, shifts the value bit by bit as shown in a figure (a), and an absolute address thinned by 1/2 in the width direction of a line is generated as shown in a figure (b). For example, when the change point position obtained from the run length is at '2', (0001)2 is obtained by shifting (0010)2 bit by bit, and the density- converted absolute address '1' can be obtained. Based on the density-converted absolute address, the image data are generated and outputted. Thus, the extention/density converting processing can be executed at high speed. |
