PURPOSE:To shorten processing time for payment transaction by making a customer recognize a payment limit amount and input a correction request amount in case the payment amount of the customer exceeds the limit payment amount at payment transaction. CONSTITUTION:At payment transaction the paper moneys are prepared at a paper money handling part 5 in response to the amount requested by a customer. At the same time, this request amount is stored in a counted amount memory part 21. In case it is impossible to comply with the payment transaction of said request amount, a limit payment amount is stored in a balance memory part 24 based on the transaction information given from a center computer. Then an amount correction request is accepted from the customer and this request amount is stored in a corrected amount memory part 22. A difference calculation part 23 performs the comparison between the amounts stored in the parts 21 and 22. Then the amount of prepared paper moneys is changed. Thus it is possible to avoid such an inconvenient case where an automatic cash transaction device is occupied by a single customer for a long period.
