PURPOSE:To obtain the planographic printing plate having large printing resistance even if the plate is subjected to printing using UV ink having excellent chemical resistance by coating a water soluble compd. on an aluminum plate base which is subjected to surface roughening and further to anodic oxidation to provide a primer coated layer, then providing a specific photosensitive compsn. layer thereon. CONSTITUTION:The water soluble compd-contg. primer coated layer is provided on the aluminum plate base which is subjected to surface roughening and further to the anodic oxidation and further, the photosensitive compsn. contg. a water insoluble and alkaline water soluble polymer having an active imino group and a photosensitive compd. acting in a positive type is coated thereon. The water insoluble and alkaline water soluble polymer is provided with the active imino group in its molecular structure and is dissolved in a developing soln. which is alkaline water by the dissociation of said group. This polymer yields the photosensitive compsn. which has a good adhesive property to the substrate, has excellent wear resistance and has a wide range of correct developing conditions.
