<p>A method and device for making a completely smooth cut in a sandwich panel constructed of a core having two relatively thin and mechanically resistant skin plates adhered thereto on both sides. The disclosed method using the steps of cutting a channel in at least one of the skin plates and cutting the core with another blade through the previously cut channel.</p>
