PURPOSE:To obtain laser conducting fiber capable of irradiating a wide area uniformly and by once irradiation with laser light by forming a tapered tip end of laser conducting fiber, covering the fiber with a heat resistant binder having a higher refractive index than that of a clad layer of the fiber, and incorporating a scattering body in the binder dispersedly. CONSTITUTION:An insertion part 4 to be inserted into several internal organs is constituted by making fiber 1 bare from its intermediate part to its tip end part. An emitting part 9 of laser light is constituted of a cylindrical transparent sleeve 11 fitted to the outside of the main body 8 of the fiber at the tapered tip end part 10 covering the neighborhood of the tip end part, and a binder 13 contg. scattering bodies 12... dispersedly. The tapered tip end part 10 is covered by the binder 13. The binder 13 consists of a heat resistant transparent body having a higher refractive index than that of a clad layer 6 of the main body 8 of the fiber, and the scattering bodies 12 consist of glassy powder. Thus, laser light R radiates toward all directions, and can irradiate uniformly the inside of an internal organ when the fiber is inserted into several kinds of internal organs, etc. |
