PURPOSE:To handle a jam easily by uniting a transfer device and paper carrying means both are located between the paper carrying path and paper carrying device, and allowing it to be opened and closed in the same direction as an upper unit. CONSTITUTION:A resist roller pair 33 is placed on the upstream side of an image transfer part in the paper carrying path 32, and a fixing device 34 is placed on the downstream side. The lower roller 33a of the resist roller pair 33, the transfer device 24, a peeling device 25, an adsorbing and carrying means 35, the fixing means 34, and a carrying roller pair 36 are integrally fixed to a frame having the lower roller 33a as the pivot of turn so that they are united; this intermediate unit can be opened in the same direction as the upper unit 1A (in a clockwise direction as figure shown) when necessary. This facilitates handling of a jam. |
