PURPOSE:To make possible the instantaneous identification of the type of a ribbon cassette to be required during ribbon replacement by designating the color of printed characters in units of characters and displaying a printing color mark designated for printed characters. CONSTITUTION:If a cursor is moved to the head of a character row, the color of which is to be designated, in a document and 'color designation' key is pressed during the preparation of a document using a display device, a color selection menu is displayed. Then if a control character for a printing color to be designated is selected and 'selection/execution' key on a keyboard 14 is pressed, a mark to indicate a designated printing color (color control code) is displayed at the head of a character row of document to be designated for desired color within a documentary region. After this, if 'golden' mark (color control code), for instance, is entered at the head of the first line 'HAPPY...PARTY', each character of 'HAPPY...PARTY' is designated as those to be printed in golden color. In the same way, each character of a sentence in the second line is designated to be printed in black color, while a male name is designated to be printed in blue color and a female name in red color. |
