<p>PURPOSE:To improve the monitoring performance and the operability of a plant by showing the process data to an operator with speech synthesis and therefore facilitating the pointing actions for the names to show the area and the contents of the process data which are needed at present. CONSTITUTION:When a plant area shown on a display device 1 is touched with a finger, etc., a touch screen works to detect the touched coordinates. A touched area detecting device 10 compares the coordinate data on the picture displayed on the device 10 with the touched point coordinates detected via a touch screen to detect a specific area of the plant that is pointed. While the name of the process value is inputted to a speech recognition device 9 in human voices. The various process data are inputted on line to a process monitor computer from the plant name areas. Then the data on the plant process variable which is indicated by the data plant areas received from the device 10 and the data on the name of the plant process value obtained from the device 9 is shown to an operator.</p> |
