Protection device for electrically operated apparatuses, especially portable apparatuses

A protection device for apparatuses which are supplied from a heavy-current network via a mains connecting lead, especially portable apparatuses, consists of a protective switch (circuit breaker) with contact sets (which are located in the mains leads) with prestressed contact springs which are held in the closed position by a fuse wire in the form of a clip, and of an electronic triggering circuit which is arranged on a board together with the protective switch and the lead connections on the mains side and on the apparatus side. The two-pole output of the triggering circuit ends in contact tabs to which the fuse wire ends can be mechanically and electrically connected. In a first embodiment, the board has a keyhole-like recess on the contact tabs, in which recess the fuse wire can be suspended by means of reinforced ends. In a second embodiment, the contact tabs are formed into sockets into which the fuse wire, which is held in a cartridge, can be inserted by means of contact pins, and can preferably be latched in. The board is furthermore seated in the housing of an angled plug whose plug pins are injection moulded or pressed into the housing base and support the board, and whose heads at the same time form the mating contacts of the contact springs of the protective switch (Figure 2).
