<p>PURPOSE:To provide the title storage method so designed that each of pears is packaged with a film having respiration-suppressing effect and stored at a specified temperature to improve the yield and extend the storage period. CONSTITUTION:Each of pears esp., red pears is packaged with a film having respiration-suppressing effect such as polyethylene film and stored at -1 to 2 deg.C. According to this method, fruit dropping or fruit skin damage can be prevented by advanced harvesting before typhoons hit and the storage period can be extended until late March of the next year.</p> |
