PURPOSE:To prevent the emission of a sub-droplet by curving a cylindrical pipe body, which has an electromechanical converting element arranged to the periphery thereof in close vicinity to the emitting orifice thereof, on the side upstream from said electromechanical converter element and eliminating the effect of the reflected wave from the electromechanical converter element reflected at the emitting orifice. CONSTITUTION:An integrated pipe 11 constituting a recording head main body is curved and a supply port 12 is formed to the end part of the pipeline 17 thereof in the curved state to be sun, in an ink tank 4. Since the pipe 11 and the pipeline 17 are formed into a curved shape in a liquid jet recording head, even when an ink main droplet 5A is emitted by applying voltage to a piezoelectric element 3, the pressure wave thereof is simultaneously propagated in an upstream direction to be reflected from the end part of the supply port 12 and, since this route is different according to the position of the pipe 11 in the peripheral direction thereof, an arriving time becomes non-uniform and the energy of the reflected pressure wave is dispersed before the pressure wave reaches the ink emitting orifice 2. Therefore, the retraction quantity of a meniscus 10 becomes markedly lower and no extrusion operation is observed and stable recording generating no emission of a sub-droplet is obtained. |
