PURPOSE:To make it possible to rapidly and unfailingly start and engine by installing a release valve in the release piping which connects an starter and a fuel pump, which valve is adapted to release fuels to be introduced into the fuel pump when pressure inside the starter exceeds a predetermined value. CONSTITUTION:A starter 20 comprises the closed-structure type main body 21 of its container, to the exhaust side bottom portion of which is connected piping 33 at one end thereof through an outlet valve 22 and the other end of the piping 33 is connected to a cabureter 25. Release piping 32 interconnects the main body 21 of the container of the starter 20 and the diaphragm room 14 of the fuel pump 11. The release piping 32 has a release valve 37 installed therein which is open while pressure inside the main body 21 of the container is more than a predetermined value, for releasing fuels retained in the main body 21 of the container to introduce the fuels into the diaphragm room 14. The fuels retained in the main body 21 of the container of the starter 20 can thus be supplied to the cabureter 25 in a short time and under a predetermined pressure during start of the engine. |
