Amide compounds, their production and use.

Amide compounds have glutamate receptor-inhibiting activity and having the formula: <CHEM> (wherein R1 and R2 each is hydrogen atom, an alkyl group or an acyl group, or <CHEM> is a cyclic amino group, m is an integer of 1 to 3, n is an integer of 0 to 4, x is an integer of 2 to 6 and y is an integer of 0 to 3) or salts thereof, are provided. The compounds are useful as a medicine for therapy or/and prevention of sequelae of cerebral apoplexy in warm-blooded animals.
