PURPOSE:To extend life of an electrophotographic sensitive body and to enhance its storage stability by forming a specified resin layer on a photosensitive layer. CONSTITUTION:The resin layer 5 formed on the photosensitive layer 4 has an oxygen permeabilities of <=1X10<12>cm<3>.cm/cm<2>.sec.cmHg and a water vapor permeability of <=1X10<12>g.cm/cm<2>.sec.cmHg. As the resin satisfying the requirements of permeability, polyvinylidene chloride, polytrifluorochloroethylene, and the like are enumerated. A thickness of the resin layer 5 can be properly set but, preferably, to the range of 0.1-2mum, and the usually a thickness of about 1mum is suitable, thus permitting the obtained electrophotographic sensitive body to be effectively protected and to sufficiently exhibit its functions after repeated uses and after pause for a long period, and to extend its life. |
