PURPOSE:To enable the easy insertion of a strut in a knuckle and reduce the upward projection of the strut by so setting the outer diameter of the lower end of the strut connecting a body to a lower arm as to be less than other portions. CONSTITUTION:A body 2 and a lower arm 6 are connected to each other via a strut 10. Namely, the upper end part 10a of the strut 10 is mounted to the body 2 with a piston rod 16 via a strut mount 18. Also, the lower end part 10b of the strut 10 is connected to a knuckle 20 for supporting a wheel 4 via a bolt 22. Furthermore, the strut 10 is constituted with an external cylindrical member 12, an internal cylindrical member 14 and the piston rod 16. In this case, a stepped part 24 is formed at the lower end part 12b of the outer cylindrical member 12 and the outer diameter thereof is made smaller than th outer diameter of other portions. According to the aforesaid construction, it is easy to insert the strut 10 in the knuckle 20. |
