PURPOSE:To contrive improvement of sintering property and sliding characteristics to abrasion resistance of a sliding member by specifying a method for preparing a molded article for sintering in production of a member having whisker-dispersed ceramic sliding layer on a ceramic substrate. CONSTITUTION:A material for whisker-dispersed ceramic sliding layer is formed into a slurry 2 and compressed by means 4 such as doctor blade to give a whisker-dispersed thin plate 5 where a whisker is two-dimensionally oriented along the sliding surface. Then the thin plate 5 is cut or punched to afford a whisker dispersed molded article 6 having prescribed shape. For example, when a molded article is prepared by an injection molding method, the molded article is set at a prescribed position of a space 8 having a prescribed recess shaped face in an injection molding machine 7. Then a Si3N4 based ceramic substrate material 1 formed into slurry is injected into the remaining part of the space 8 and then a molded article P for sintering obtained by integrating the molded article 6 with the substrate material 11 is taken out and sintered to provide the sliding member having abrasion resistance. |
