The present invention relates to fluorinated alkoximines of general formula: Rx-CF=N-O-CZ1Z2-CF3 (I) wherein: Rx is either F or a perhaloalkyl group containing from 1 to 3 carbon atoms, and Z1 and Z2, the same or different from each other, are F, Cl, Br, H or a perfluoroalkyl group containing from 1 to 3 carbon atoms. Said compounds are prepared by reacting a fluorinated alkoxyamine of formula: Rx-CF2-NH-O-CZ1Z2-CF3 (V) with KF at a temperature of from about 0 DEG C to about 100 DEG C.
