PURPOSE:To enable the effective absorption of a shock upon collision by forming a projection part having a larger sectional area than a mounting bracket at the connection end of one arm member at the side of a body and extended to the rear side of the body for forming a lower arm. CONSTITUTION:A suspension device is equipped with a lower arm 6 connected to a body via a strut 10. In this case, a lower arm 6 is formed with each of the first and second arm members 24 and 26 extended from the mounting position of a wheel 4 to front and rear sides. Also, the first arm member 24 is connected to the side of a body via, for example, the first bracket 32 embracing the first bush 30 externally coupled to the first pin 28 of the member 24. In addition, a projection part 38 having a larger sectional area than the embraced section of the first bracket 32 is formed at the connection end 24a of the first arm member 24 at the side of the body. According to the aforesaid construction, the projection part 38 is deformed upon the collision of a vehicle, thereby absorbing a shock. |
