PURPOSE:To stabilize electrification characteristics and image formation even at the time of repeated uses by forming a single photosensitive layer containing an electric charge generating material and a positive hole transfer material controlled in ionization potential to a value not lower than the charge generating material. CONSTITUTION:The photosensitive layer 2 of the photosensitive body is formed as the single layer on a conductive substrate 1 and contains the charge generating material and the positive hole transfer material controlled in ionization potential to a value not lower than the charge generating material, thus permitting the photosensitive layer to be freed of electrons and positive holes by irradiation with light, and to be set on standby for charging, and consequently, to be stabilized in electrification characteristics and photosensitivity characteristics even at the time of repeated uses. |
