A particulate magnetic material in which a multiplicity of minute magnetite or other ferrite particles are provided with a conductive metal coating. The coating has a thickness of from about 1% to about 15% of the maximum particle dimension and is about 5% to about 60% by weight of the particle. The coated particles are deposited in a non-conductive matrix such as a spray lacquer film for use as electrode magnetic shielding.
