PURPOSE:To improved performance of vibration-proofness by equipping the space of a battery jar on a group of electrode plates with a volume expansive and contractible body of which one end is connected to the atmosphere. CONSTITUTION:An exhaust valve 4 to blowoff gas to the outside of a battery when a pressure inside the battery reaches a specified level is prepared on a lid 3 so as to cover a valve hole 5, being fixed by a stopper plate 6, and a gas exhause groove 7 being connected to the atmosphere. The inside of a sealed type lead-battery 1 is separated by a partition wall 8 to form plural cell chambers 9, and in the space of a battery jar on a group of electrode plates of the respective cell chambers, a volume expansive and contractible body 13, made of polypropylene, of which one end is connected to the atmosphere through a connecting hole 12 to the atmosphere is prepared. Consequently the volume expansive and contractible body 13 expands as the pressure inside the cell chambers 9 becomes negative to balance pressure inside the battery to the atmospheric pressure for producing no dimple on the minor side of the battery jar. No spacing between the battery jar and the group of electrode plates is thus produced, and performance of vibration-proofness may be improved. |
