Sectional door for buildings, comprising laterally guided, pivotally interconnected sections (4), wherein the substantially vertical lateral guide means (3) are used for the operative position of the sections (4), which are guidable, via an arcuate member (14), into the substantially horizontal inoperative position, and wherein also a guide path (7), which extends from the end of the arcuate member substantially parallel to said guide means, is provided above the horizontal guide means (5), for guiding the uppermost guide roller (11) of the sections (4) when the door is closed, in such a manner that, when the door is closed, the section (4) associated with this guide roller (11) assumes virtually a vertical position (15), characterised in that the portion of the guide path (7) covering the arcuate member (14) also extends parallel to the horizontal guide means (5).</p> |
