PURPOSE:To manufacture the title alloy having excellent recovering characteristics by restricting a work-hardened alloy in which a part of a Ti-Ni alloy blended with specific compsn. is substituted by specific amounts of one or more kinds among C, O and N into a desired shape and subjecting it to heat treatment at a specific temp. CONSTITUTION:In an alloy constituted of 48.5 to 32.5at% Ni and the balance Ti, a part of Ti or Ni is substituted by one or more kinds among, by weight, 0.08 to 0.3% C, 0.08 to 0.3% O and 0.01 to 0.3% N. The alloy is subjected to work hardening and is restricted into a desired shape; in this condition, it is subjected to shape-memory heat treatment in the temp. range of 300 to 550 deg.C. By this method, the Ti-Ni shape memory alloy having high recovering power as well as having less lowering of the recovering power even after repeated working can be obtd. |
