PURPOSE:To obtain a deodorant excellent in safety capable of being used in a wide area such as in food, home, industry and the like by using, as an effective component, a component with a deodorant property contained in sophora plants belonging to legume. CONSTITUTION:There is used as a material flowers, buds, fruits, leaves, barks, caules, trees, etc., and dried material of those. Sophora, safflower, pagota tree and the like are listed as the plants. One or two kinds of those is extracted in methanol, ethanol, organic solvent of another alcohol, glycelin, propyren grycol, organic solvent of another polyatomic alcohol, another organic solvent, water, or a mixture thereof. The extracted material is dried, then it is dry- distilled or distilled under reduction of pressure by use of a solvent having 100 deg.C or more boiling point such as glicelin, whereby soft aromatic type soft yellow colored extracted material having a deodorant effect is obtained. |
