PURPOSE:To provide a testosterone 5alpha-reductase inhibitor useful as a trichogen or a preventive for pimple, seborrheic alopecia, dandruff, etc., and containing an extracted aglycon produced by using the reaction of baicalinase which is an enzyme existing in OUGON (a herb drug). CONSTITUTION:The objective testosterone 5alpha-reductase inhibitor contains an aglycon originated from OUGON (root of Scutellaria baicalensis known as a herb drug) and extracted by utilizing the reaction of baicalinase which is an enzyme existing in OUGON. The inhibitor is applicable to drugs, quasi-drugs and cosmetics. It is expected as a trichogen to be applied to the scalp or skin. The agent is effective in improving the seborrheic state by controlling the sebum secretion function of the scalp and skin and preventing the pimple, seborrheic alopecia and accompanying dandruff, etc. The agent is expected to be effective even by oral administration. |
