<p>PURPOSE:To eliminate induction lightning, malfunction of vibration isolator and icing or wind pressure load of a transmission line by arranging steel tower clearing rails below an overhead earth-wire while separating therefrom. CONSTITUTION:Two lines of steel tower clearing rails 6A are arranged in parallel below an overhead earth-wire 3 at the opposite sides thereof with such profile as the opposite end sections 61, 62 are bent slightly when viewed from the front. A self-traveling machine 10 is provided with overhead earth-wire travel wheels 12, 13 in a gap striding across the overhead earth-wire 3 and wheels 17a, 18b, 19c striding across the overhead earth-wire 3 and extending downward at the lower opposite sides. When the travel wheels of the self- traveling machine 10 ride on the rail 6A, the overhead earth-wire travel wheels 12, 13 separate upward from the overhead earth-wire 3 and the self-traveling machine and thereby the self-traveling machine 10 clears the top of a steel tower and advances forward.</p> |
