MANUFACTURE OF SELF SUPPORTING MEMBERS OF COPPER CONTAINING PHOSPHORUS

Self supporting members of copper containing phosphorus, for example bulk copper anodes or plates, for use as consumable anodes for copper electrodeposition or for melting for alloy production are manufactured by electrodeposition from an electrolyte containing copper ions and a suspension of phosphorus bearing particles having a phosphorus concentration of up to about 5 grams per litre.
