PURPOSE:To automatically perform the recognition of the positioning, number, etc., of a work at a work position by the machine tool side and to eliminate the need for the confirmation prior to carrying-in by incorporating an image processing camera to a tool holder fittably to a main shaft by an automatic tool changing device. CONSTITUTION:In case of a work being carried in at the work position of a machine tool 10, an automatic tool changing device takes out an image pickup device 1 from a tool magazine, as occasions demand and fits it to a main shaft 11, and connects an image processing camera 3 communicatably to the image processing device unshown in a figure by linking a pair of connectors 6, 7. The machine tool 10 then divides the position of the main shaft 11, allowing the camera 3 corresponding to the specified position of the work, a lamp 1 is lit and the camera 3 picks up the image of the work number, work shape, etc., and the image information is fed to the image processing device. The recognition of the letters of the work number of the work objective work, the analysis processing, etc., are automatically performed by an image processing program at the machine tool 10 side. |
