PURPOSE:To coaxially align a cell case with a die enabling separators to be mounted on the central part of the cell case for cutting down the reject rate by a method wherein an alignment means comprising a conical surface is provided to a stopper in a die. CONSTITUTION:A cell case 4 with its upper edge 4a abutting against the conical surface 15a of a stopper 15 is coaxially aligned with a die 13. Next, the first movable plate 18 is lowered to punch out separators 2a from original paper 2 by a punch 18. The second movable plate 21 is lowered to press down the separators 2a toward an electrode 5 by a knock out pin 22 of the plate 21 for mounting the separators 2a on the electrode 5. At this time, an air vent groove is cut between the separators 2a and the dropping passage thereof to drop the separators 2a rapidly without tilting on the electrode 5. Later, a knock pin 6 is lowered to reset the cell case to a turn table 10 and simultaneously the first and the second movable plates 18, 21 are lifted to prepare for the next stamping operation. |
