PURPOSE:To obtain a heat-sensitive transfer material which can transfer a sharp recorded image to a recording material with a rough surface by laminating a first peel-off layer, a first ink layer, a second peel-off layer and a second ink layer, onto a base. CONSTITUTION:A heat-sensitive transfer material 1 consists of a first peel-off layer 2, a first ink layer 4, a second peel-off layer 5 and a second ink layer 6 laminated on a sheet-like base 2. The flocculation force of the second peel-off layer is 3g/cm or more and 100g/cm or less. The adhesive force F1 between the base and the first ink layer is smaller than the adhesive force F2 between the first ink layer and the second ink layer immediately after thermal application. However, as time elapses after the completion of thermal application, the former is larger than the latter. The second ink layer contains 50% by weight or more. Consequently, the ink layer can be transferred between the projecting parts of the recording material with a rough surface in such a manner as to cross-link the projecting parts. Therefore, a sharp bicolor image is obtained. |
