PURPOSE:To greatly improve the wear resistance of a cutting edge part and to extend the service life of a power hammer drill by forming the whole body of a power hammer drill or the cutting edge part by a specified high speed alloy tool. CONSTITUTION:The hammer drill hole body is formed by the high speed alloy tool steel consisting of 1.2-1.4% C, 3-5% Cr, 3-4% Mo, 8-12% W, 3-4% V and 8-12% Co. The part of a barrel part 2 and that of a shank part 3 are subjected to tempering inside the furnace capable of partially heating the part of the barrel part and that of the shank part 3 like a salt bath. Consequently, regidity is given by reducing the hardness of the barrel part 2 and shank part 3 to 500-600Hv and the breakdown in using is prevented. |
