The rotor for a high speed induction motor includes an end ring (24) made of aluminium cast by die casting on the outside of each of both ends of a laminated rotor core (23). As an iron cover the aluminium end ring (24), a balance ring (25) is cast by die casting together with the end ring (24) on the laminated rotor core (23) to reinforce the end ring (24).
