PURPOSE:To manufacture a porous membrane of uniform pore diameter distribution by means of an easy membrane manufacturing process by melting a fluorinated vinylidene polymer into a good solvent under the pressurized condition of a given pressure. CONSTITUTION:In the manufacture of a porous membrane using a fluorinated vinylidene polymer as a material, a solvent such as acetone or the like having comparatively low affinity with the fluorinated vinylidene polymer, staying as a poor solvent in the normal temperature and turing into a good solvent when heated up to its boiling point or its vicinity. Melting into a good solvent is carried out under the pressurized condition of 0.1kg/cm<3> or more, preferably 0.5-5kg/cm<3>. Then, as affinity of the good solvent and the polymer is comparatively low, the good solvent is diffused into a poor solvent such as dichloromethane, methanol or the like quickly to manufacture a porous membrane of uniform pore diameter distribution. Thus, the porous membrane of high quality is manufactured in an easy process. |
