PURPOSE:To perform a satisfactory focusing operation by forming the micro- oscillation of a lens in rectangular shape, and fixing the position of the lens in the charge accumulating period of a pixel in the window of a sensor. CONSTITUTION:When the micro-oscillation of the lens in the rectangular shape is generated, the high frequency component of a video signal fluctuates with amplitude equivalent to that from the oscillation center of the micro-oscillation. The phase of the micro-oscillation of the lens is set so as to fix the position of the lens in the charge accumulating period of the pixel in the window. Thereby, the amplitude of a fluctuation component due to the micro-oscillation of the lens in the high frequency component of the video signal obtained from those pixels can be increased corresponding to the amplitude of the micro- oscillation, and also, the fluctuation component effective for focusing can be obtained with large amplitude. In such a way, the focusing operation can be performed rapidly. |
