PURPOSE:To eliminate deviation in position between a light valve panel and a dichroic prism caused by vibration and impact and to improve image quality by holding rubber between an up plate and the dichroic prism. CONSTITUTION:A down plate 8 supports and fixes four faces of the dichroic prism 2 with its four projection parts 9 in this case and fixes the respective lower parts of a front plate 6 and a back plate 7 by screwing. Said up plate 5 is screwed to the respective upper parts of the front plate 6 and the back plate 7 while pressurizing the rubber 10 which is held between the dichroic prism 2 and said plate 5. Three light valve panels 4 respectively holding R, G and B liquid crystal light valves 1 are fixed on constant positions on the up plate 5 by screwing. Since the four faces of the dichroic prism 2 are supported and fixed with the projection parts 9 of the down plate 8, it does not move even if the vibration and the impact are added to the title device. |
