<p>PURPOSE:To widely shorten the time of retrieval by using tape traveling time information obtained from the rotational number of a reel, to which a magnetic tape is wound, for the high speed retrieval of arbitrary program information recorded on the magnetic tape. CONSTITUTION:A reel pulse to be generated by the rotation of a winding reel 3 is detected by a detector 16 and the number of rotation is computed by a measuring circuit 17 and supplied to an arithmetic circuit 18. In the circuit 18, the traveling time of the tape is operated based on the number of rotation. Next, when arbitrary music information is designated from an operating part 15 and retrieving operation is commanded, a control part 14 reads out the time information to show the recording position of the music information being a retrieving subject, out of table of contents information TOC stored in a storing circuit 10. Then, the time information are stored in an object time information storing circuit 13. A comparing circuit 12 compares the time information stored in a storing circuit 11 to show the present position of a magnetic tape 1 and the object time information stored in the circuit 13. When the both information are coincident, since the tape 1 is already in the recording position of the music information being the retrieving subject, the control part 14 reproduces such a system.</p> |
