The invention relates to the angular discrimination of neighbouring points by a coherent pulse radar. The Doppler frequencies of the points are determined using a filter with a narrow pass-band. The Doppler frequency is preferably held at its initial value during the time taken for the analysis. The width of the filter pass-band is varied as a function of the antenna direction in such a way as to keep the angular discriminating power of the radar constant. Provision can be made for holding constant the data relating to the distance of the target during the time taken for the measurement. Application to airborne radars. <IMAGE>
