PURPOSE:To control rotating speed and current stably and with high precision without the use of a speed sensor and a voltage sensor by operating an instanta neous value command of the primary voltage from the frequency command value and the primary current component value. CONSTITUTION:A frequency control section 5 finds the primary frequency com mand w from a detected value I1q of torque current component of the primary current and speed command w. A voltage command operation section 6 operates an amplitude command value V of a voltage vector and an internal phase difference angle command value delta* from the detected value I1q of the torque current component and the primary frequency command w. On the account, the detected value I1q of the torque current component can be obtained by means of a current sensor only. The motor flux can be controlled constantly by controlling the capacity and phase of motor voltage from this detected value I1q and the primary frequency command w.
