PURPOSE:To make toner flow in a replenishing part before a collecting part is full of toner and to completely prevent the toner from leaking to the outside by forming an opening on the upper part of the partition plate of a cartridge and providing a valve for allowing the toner to pass only to the replenishing part side from the collecting part side in the opening. CONSTITUTION:The replenished toner housing part 31 of the cartridge 30 is a cylinder 311, whose one end is sealed with a cap 313 and which has the replenishing port 312 in an axial direction on its wall surface. After housing the toner in the cylinder 311, it is sealed with a seal. The collected toner housing part 32 has the collecting port 322 in a circumferential direction on the wall surface of a cylinder 321 provided with a partition plate 33 and is covered with a shutter 323. The collecting port 322 and the replenishing port 312 are invertedly formed in terms of top and bottom. The valve 332 of the opening 331 on the upper part of the partition plate 33 allows the toner to pass only to the replenishing part 31 from the collecting part 32. When the collected toner from a photosensitive drum is gathered in the collected toner housing part 32 and the level thereof reaches the opening 331 of the partition plate 33, the toner presses to open the valve 332 and moves to the replenished toner housing part 31, thereby preventing the toner from overflowing because the collection part is full of the toner. |
