PURPOSE: To well feed a copy medium in pressurized contact with a fusing roll in spite of a change in the kinds of the copy medium and relative humidity by forming an extension nip part facing the fusing roll by a blade and a thin web material which is connected thereto and on which a deviating pressure is applied. CONSTITUTION: The first inlet extension nip part 84 facing the fusing roll 49 is formed by the blade member 82 which comes into tangent contact with the roll 49. The second extension nip part 86 is formed by the thin web material 72 which is connected to the member 82 and on which the deviating pressure is applied by a pressurizing mechanism 90. The copy medium is well fed in pressurized contact with the fusing roll and the good processing for fixing is executed in spite of the change in the kinds of the copy medium and the relative humidity by these nip parts of the required pressure in the prescribed positions. |
