The invention relates to a device for blocking the means of rotation of an articulated arm of a blind or the like about a horizontal axis. This blocking device is characterised in that it consists, on the one hand, of an adjustable stop 45 limiting the angle of inclination of the said articulated arm 4 relative to the horizontal and, on the other hand, of a stirrup 39 integral with the upper end 38 of the latter and cooperating, when the blind 5 is in the reeled-out position, with the adjustable stop 45, in order to immobilise the said means 17 of rotation about the horizontal axis.
