Appts. on a textile winding frame, when a full package has moved automaticlly to a dwell position, the free end of the thread which is left in the gap between reels, is laid flat on to the full package at the nearest point between the two reels. USE/ADVANTAGE - To act as a protective shield for the full package without hindrance to the change of reels, and to hold the loose end of thread on to the full package to prevent entanglement with the other reel, or winding apparatus.
