Movement aid for bath tub and seating

Movement aids are devices for disabled or physically frail people for helping them or enabling them to sit down, lie down, get up or rise. This movement aid comprises a folding frame with four plates connected in joints, a bottom plate and a seat plate connected to two diagonal plates. The lifting movement is effected by a double bellows in the exterior angle of the two diagonal plates and in each case a single bellows which are each arranged in the exterior angles between the bottom plate and the lower diagonal plate and between the seat plate and the upper diagonal plate. They are operated by water or compressed air and effect a mutually complementary lifting movement of the seat plate and simultaneously support the latter in a horizontal position. These processes are controlled via control valves or switches for a compressor. This arrangement of the plates and bellows permits relatively small dimensions as regards length and width, folding together to a few centimetres, sufficiently high seat position and application even in small vessels, e.g. hip bath tubs.
