Inside the boiler (1), heat from the gas burner (2) is transferred to the water in the primary heat exchanger (5), excess heat and fumes leaving via the flue (3). The heated water output (6) is pumped (22B) through the radiator system (13), returning (14) to the exchanger (5) via a junction point (28). The water can also be pumped (22A) to a secondary heat exchanger (9) inside the domestic hot water cylinder (11), returning (10) to the junction point (28). Only one pump can operate at any time; because of this, max. heat can be supplied to the water cylinder or radiators according to demand as determined by thermostats.
|
