STOVE EMPLOYING A CORBONAILOUS FUEL AND METHOD OF OPERATION

The stove for a carbonaceous fuel such as coal is provided for controlling effectively the ingredients of the exhaust gas with an oxidation catalyst which oxidizes the oxidizable species in the exhaust gas. The exhaust gas containing CO is mixed with a secondary fresh air, and then the mixture contacts with the catalyst so as to allow the oxidizable species in the mixture to be oxidized. To promote the catalyst reaction the temperature of the exhaust gas is maintained to the required temp. so that the catalyst reaction temp. may be at least 350≦̸C.
