发明名称 BIAXIALLY ORIENTED POLYESTER FILM FOR MAGNETIC RECORDING MEDIUM
摘要 PURPOSE:To obtain the film for the magnetic recording medium having excellent scratching resistance by incorporating 0.01-5wt.% fine powder of a specific heat resistant high polymer and inorg. particles which have >=6 Mohs' hardness and inert to polyester into the film. CONSTITUTION:The average grain size of the fine powder of the heat resistant high polymer is specified to a 0.05-5mum range and the compounding ratio of the particles in the polyester film is in a 0.01-3wt.% range; further, the inorg. particles which have <=5mum average grain size and >=6 Mohs' hardness and are inert to the polyester are used at 0.01-5wt.% in addition to said particles. Namely, the wear resistance and scratching resistance are greatly improved when the particles having the high Mohs' hardness exist in the film. A traveling system having a tension meter II is used for evaluation of the wear resistance. The film for the magnetic recording medium having the excellent scratching resistance is obtd. in this way.
