PURPOSE:To remove inclusions in molten steel by blowing a specific amt. of a fined inert gas from the bottom of a vessel for molten metal just prior to charging of molten steel from said vessel. CONSTITUTION:Molten steel 4 is supplied into a tundish 1 from a charging pipe 10, and a slag layer 5 is formed. Porous refractories 3 are buried in the peripheral part of a charging hole 2 provided at the other end of the tundish 1, and an inert gas supplying pipe is provided. The fined foam of the inert gas is blown into flowing molten steel from the peripheral part within 500mm. of the hole 2 of 50-100mm.phi at <=1l/cm<2>.min per area of the refractories for blowing. Fined foam 6 is formed in the flowing molten steel, and the inert gas contacts with the inclusions in the molten steel and causes the inclusions to float up surely. |
