Shut-off device for ducts, shafts or the like, having an inflatable body which consists of a flexible material which is resistant to oils and acids, the body exhibiting a central, non-inflatable part and its outer part being designed as an inflatable, torus-like bead, whose outline, in the inflated state, corresponds approximately to the cross-sectional form of the shaft which is to be blocked, the central part of the body being connected to a retaining device, which supports the same and bears at least one inflating device connected to the torus-like bead of the body, and said torus-like bead exhibiting at least one filling valve connected to the inflating device.
