So that a microwave-proof luminaire can be created for fitting into an opening of an appliance wall of a baking oven, stove or the like, which consist of a metal housing with a lamp holder (lamp mount) and is open on the end face side, of a lamp fitted therein, as well as an approximately tube-shaped, metal screen grid for the protection of the lamp, in which the lamp can be replaced very simply and in addition the lamp is completely proofed with respect to microwaves by the screen grid, it is proposed that the screen grid is part of a supporting part which can be inserted into the housing, that the screen grid is closed at its free end while its end which is fixed to the support part, as well as the support part, has an insertion opening for the lamp bulb which is aligned in a flush manner with the receiving part of the lamp holder. <IMAGE>
